Renovating a 30-Year-Old Home with a Fresh Eclectic Modern Design

This project involves the renovation of a single-story house over 30 years old, with a complete redesign that includes the building’s internal systems. The original house had 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, and 1 bathroom, covering a total area of around 100 square meters. In the renovation, we reconfigured the layout to better suit the owner’s needs. The new layout includes 1 office, 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 dining room, 1 kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. The office can accommodate 3-4 staff members.

The design concept is Eclectic Modern, featuring vibrant colors and unique materials, such as red marble contrasted with gold-toned stainless steel. For the dining area, we raised the floor to hide the underlying systems and create a natural boundary between spaces without walls, maintaining a sense of openness and making the house feel spacious and airy.

Additionally, the kitchen was separated from the pantry. The pantry can be used for warming or preparing food when there is no heavy cooking involved, and it also doubles as a casual hangout space when friends come over.

In the bedroom, the headboard lighting was adjusted to enhance functionality, with the interior design favoring a softer color palette compared to the rest of the house, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. To add some playful details, the wardrobe features angled wood patterns, ensuring the room doesn’t feel too plain while subtly connecting with the exterior design.
